I can understand a family having two cars. Two or more adults needing to get to work or do their own thing….but why did rich fucks get 10+ cars that’ll never leave a garage? They’re literally bragging rights, no actual use. I don’t care if they’re classics or something, they’re tools that many families desperately need.

Or like, you’re rich so you get a yacht. Ok. I think that’s over the top but ok, you wanted a nice ass boat. But….2? 3? 4? 10? Why? What use are they but sitting there and being bragging rights?

Everyone needs shelter. Rich people having a home makes sense. Two I think is greedy, but whatever devils advocate summer and winter homes whatever. But why the fuck does the richest man on earth have over 30 homes? Once again, that’s bragging rights and greed. There’s no fucking use for that.

I get collecting shit, we all have stuff we like to collect. But I think there’s a sheer difference between collecting kamen rider merch and collecting tools that are necessary to life that serve no use to you.

go off op i love this

So rise up! Rise up, children of the Empire! Rise up, Stormcloaks! Embrace the word of mighty Talos, he who is both man and Divine! For we are the children of man! And we shall inherit both the heavens and the earth! And we, not the Elves or their toadies, will rule Skyrim! Forever! Terrible and powerful Talos!

The far right is on the rise in every country, this is not just an America problem. Look at your own country and you are likely to find far right bigots who want to infringe on the rights of others.

I know it’s tempting to just laugh at the USA, but this is global, especially in majority white western countries. Don’t get so caught up in watching the Trump Show that you don’t see the weeds growing in your own backyard.

This is not a time to be a centrist, these far right politicians will chip away at the freedoms we have fought so hard for, it is their goal. Meeting them in the middle will not help anyone but them.

Stop giving them footholds, start voting in local and state elections. I know it’s hard and time consuming, but it’s also necessary. Don’t just sadly watch our rights slip away and mourn the rights lost of other, more vulnerable, people.

We need to resist like we are fighting for our lives, because we are.

i’m a trans girl and it’s honestly so telling that the only lesbians who ever find me attractive aren’t cis, and the only cis women who ever find me attractive are bisexual.

just some food for thought.

just to clarify, this post isn’t trying to say “cis bisexuals are more woke than cis lesbians” at all. the point i’m trying to make is that cis lesbians and the cis lesbian community as a whole (YES even the radically trans-positive sections on tumblr) refuse to address their transmisogyny, whilst cis bisexual women don’t need to do that to seem Woke; they’re capable of finding trans women attractive/dating them/etc whilst still holding deeply transmisogynistic views because they Can and Do read trans women’s traits as masculine/male.

my point was that all cis wlw need to sort their shit out and y’all are refusing to do it. y’all refuse to call each other out and the only thing you do to for trans women is put on a fake smile and say “this includes trans women!! trans women are welcome here”

because surprise surprise you gotta fucking Make us welcome; you can’t do that on pleasantries alone. fucking do something for trans women.

i want to mention that this isn’t just an informational post, it’s a call to action.

every time a trans woman makes a post like this, we are opening ourselves up to being targetted by violent hate groups such as terfs, and sure enough, this morning i’ve woken up to a handful of messages calling me a sexually violent male, and replies to this post calling for me to end my life, etc.

i knew this would happen, and i made this post anyway. why? because what i had to say was worth saying despite the dangers associated with a trans woman daring to criticize cis wlw

we, trans women, have to constantly endanger our lives/jobs/well-being just to talk about the ways in which cis women treat us, because terfs will harass us and lie about us and occasionally dox us. don’t make these sacrifices for nothing. change how you act. this isn’t a criticism, this is a call for you to be better people.

the fact that terfs so easily found my relatively untagged post just highlights how y’all aren’t doing enough – these people must have found my post through following your blogs, and they’re only following your blogs because you are not vocally trans-positive enough.

start doing your bit to help trans women today. it’s not good enough to just say “trans women are women 💖💖“ a couple times a month, internalize it. believe it. read up on literature and social theory that trans women are writing. participate (but stay in your lane) in trans women’s discussion and conversations. go out of your way to learn more. you have to do this, because if you wait for us, you are waiting for us to open ourselves to the danger of malicious hate groups.

from my twitter: https://twitter.com/grapholect

I started noticing this the more disposable income I got. It starts off with small things like, if there’s a sale at Costco for $20 off a tub of protein powder, I could buy 3 or 4 at a time to save $60 – $80 off something I use everyday because I can put up the upfront cost. Same with at the veterinarian, if I buy 9 months of flea prevention or heartwork, I get 3 months free.

Then things like at the bank, I get free services like free cashiers checks, free safety deposit box etc. My interest rates are super low on my line of credit etc. I get free shit all the time from points on my credit card.

So yeah, the more you have, the cheaper things get.

That’s because an economy where things are arbitrarily assigned values is chaos in practice. Everything that everyone can possibly own or use is given an inflated value for the sole purpose of extracting more economic power out of the ones without leverage or choice in the matter. The worse your standing position, the less leverage you have, the more you will be pressured into giving up. Capitalism creates this endless vicious cycle where every person is finding a way to take advantage of one another.

Where everyone tells you “money can buy goods and services,” people are unaware of the other half of it, that the value of those goods and services depends on how much economic power you have in contrast to those that are in greater need. When you have more money, the shoes you want to buy have their cost reduced by 5% because they can’t take as much advantage of you as they can for the poorer folk.

The sellers can still gain their profit but sacrifice how much profit they take in because there is less of an economic power structure in your case. They make a bulk deal with you to attract you away from competitors (thus they deliberately try to starve each other in the process) while claiming you’re a special customer and making you feel like you matter when in reality “there’s always a sucker to walk in the door.” They are calculating risk all the time. If everyone took advantage of the bulk prices you can bet they’d stop doing it.

What this all means is that the people who contribute the highest amount of profit are in fact the ones who lack any power or choice. The optimization that every business inherently seeks is to be the only choice for desperate customers. That is why there are so many monopolies, so many conglomerates, and so many stagnant, underpaid wages.

And the reason why reformists face an uphill battle is that they are naive and believe that they can just tell the world the benefits of financially empowering everyone and people will jump on board. That is not the case. Financial empowerment is antithetical to the desires of a private corporation. Regulations are antithetical. Unions are antithetical. Safety is antithetical. Your well-being is antithetical. If it doesn’t contribute to the power imbalance that optimizes what economic power someone in capitalism can extract out of other people, then it is value they consider lost.
