uh yo accusations of pedophilia suck but so does making fun of mentally ill teens (or as you already mentioned, minors) so maybe don’t do that? you’ve got a lot of influence on this site; don’t punch down.

hey okay so here’s an idea: i’m not these kids’ mom. i’m not their teacher, their guidance counselor, their therapist. i’m not their friend. i have absolutely zero obligation to protect and care for the wellbeing of the hostile, delusional little goblins that are actively trying to destroy my reputation, ruin my career, drive away my friends and followers, get my blog deleted, and encourage me to kill myself.

i’ll laugh at them all i hecking want to.

Teenagers aren’t referred to as young adults for no good reason. This is the period of time in which they’re learning to be functional adults when they hit the age of majority and are expected to take on adult responsibilities, and that includes learning to act like one

If a teenager gets their feelings hurt because they harassed a total stranger and that stranger made fun of them, that’s some pretty light consequences to suffer. Perhaps after enough of these consequences they’ll go hey, I don’t like having my feelings hurt, maybe I should stop lying about and harassing total strangers, and take another important step toward impending adulthood.

Expecting total strangers to give these little jerks gentle talkings to after said little jerks try to ruin their lives, and/or expecting these strangers to give them passes because they’re mentally ill is enabling their terrible behavior and encouraging them to remain in a stunted juvenile state long after the point they should have cut the shit. It also doesn’t do a damn bit of good for their ability to manage their own mental illnesses to absolve them of responsibility for their actions.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

It is neither DISCRIMINATION nor ABUSE to point out that IMMATURE SHITHEADS WHO PRIORITIZE THEIR FANTASY OVER REALITY AND THEN PROCEED TO ATTACK ACTUAL PEOPLE FOR HYPOTHETICAL CRIMES COMMITTED AGAINST FICTIONAL VICTIMS ARE STUPID, AWFUL, AND SHOULD CUT IT THE FUCK OUT.

it’s not abelism to refuse to collaborate with people’s delusions. especially when those delusions are doing demonstrable harm to others.

when a toddler hands you a toy phone, you answer it. when teenagers who say they’re robots and aliens and shit try to cast you in the roll of a child molester, you tell them to grow the fuck up.

listen. i know people with DID. they’re just as sick of assholes hiding behind a forest of bullshit ‘alters’ as the rest of us. more so, because the assholes are giving them a bad name and making folks think that’s what DID is really like. i’m not pulling a “i have friends so i can speak for them” thing here, i’m reporting what i was told on multiple occasions as recently as yesterday; i’m amplifying their voice without naming names. this is their call to make, not some concern troll’s. one told me (and i’m paraphrasing, but i believe accurately), “if one of my alters does something shitty, I apologize and try to make it right. i don’t expect people to just put up with it.”

i’m autistic as fuck, and i would never tell you to let assholes get away with bullying you just because they say “oh i’m autistic, i don’t understand social behaviors.” calling them on it isn’t ableist; believing them almost is. you goddamn bet i understand that calling names and telling lies isn’t okay. i might not be able to read a room, but i know right from wrong! i know better than to use my disability as a shield from behind which to throw poop – that’s not neurodiversity, that’s being a hideous shitgremlin.

it’s the same with any other disorder, neurotype, or PD. a person who is fit to interact with other people understands that being awful to them is not allowed. if you do it anyway, you should expect to be taken to task for it. period.
