Sketching again, getting serious about putting together a portfolio again.
I spent late 2016-early 2017 feeling pretty lethargic, so i took a break from the art hustle to try new things and let myself get excited about existing again, let alone drawing. Which worked; i haven’t felt excited to sit down at my drawing desk like this in a long time. I think sometimes the art community tends to over-value that weird self-destructive kind of discipline where you take something you love and make it into a miserable daily grind so that you can be “good”.
Apparently I also love doing ballet and Italian rapier fencing? So, all in all, I’m doing pretty great now. Take a break if you need it!
