Reblog this with a series of three pictures, pictures you feel convey the vibe of the post-capitalist future you personally envision.
The full implementation of human ingenuity without the barricade of profit motive. The city and nature do not have to be in conflict.
The extreme waste and social atomization brought by suburbs would be replaced by more efficient and pro-community alternatives. Not everyone should have to live in a city, but no one should have to settle for suburbs.
The common sovereignty of resources would promote the most ethical and comfortable standard of living for everyone. Why have a wealthy few when you can have a prosperous everyone?
if this society provides basic income for everyone, people wouldn’t need to struggle for 80+ hours to get by. this is the biggest and most important change I would make and would be the basis from which I’d build up a new society
This is called socialism and people would not have incentive to work or strive to succeed. Don’t believe this crap it’s make believe fairy tale shit that would never work in a country as big as the US. People need motivation.
So there are no such thing as volunteers? People don’t clean up after themselves at home? Absolutely no hobbies?
And “would never work in a country as large as the US.” ignores how economies tend to be proportional. With our net wealth and the history of leftists globally (you know, US backed coup after US backed coup, paired with the occasional economic war like in Cuba, Venezuela, and N. Korea), the US arguably has the best chance at success.
Nope, no hobbies. Without capitalism and the economic coercion of minimum-wage labor, people would just sit around rotting like a bunch of lazy sloths. The only reason I enjoy anything is because capitalist media conditioned my mind to enjoy things.
🙏 Praise the market 🙏 Praise the motivation hierarchy 🙏 Praise CEOs getting obscenely wealthy through the sweat and blood of the most vulnerable 🙏 Praise countless hours of pointless wage labor that fills the pockets of the rich while billions can’t make ends meet 🙏 Praise the enormous potential of automation going to waste as people are rendered poorer in the face of greater productivity and abundance 🙏
👍 Such efficiency 👍 Such rationality 👍 Such freedom for the individual 👍
I like that capitalists assume the only motivation to do literally anything is making money. Like, how fucking stupid do you have to be to think that money is the only motivation to do something?
Like, yeah, no shit money is a motivating factor in a capitalist society as it’s the only way to ensure you don’t fucking starve to death. But what about literally everything else that is done outside the monetary motivation? Everything from volunteer work to hobbies?
Weird how those things get ignored.
Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world, can never use all of the money he has, and STILL goes to work every day and makes more. Your own capitalist idols disprove those theories about money being the sole motivatig factor for work.
