This is a fault of the US federal government. Without US protection Ecuador could have pursued Exxon. This is crony capitalism

this is especially dumb because in hypothetical ancap world, the Ecuadorian government wouldn’t exist either, so no, they wouldn’t have been able to pursue Exxon.
