I wish we’d talk about voting results differently. I think it’d be much more inspiring to see on TV that an election was decided by 29.5% or whatever of the electorate, rather than talking the way we do about OHHH HALF OF VOTERS, when… no, not half of voters. Usually it’s some vaguely shameful percentage of voters. It would foreground “HEY GO VOTE WHY DIDN’T YOU VOTE” better, and make it easier to talk about obstacles facing people trying to vote.
