Hey everybody! The media isn’t going to cover this like it should, but there has been major working class history made just this past couple of months! For the first time in United States history, there is a labor union organizing within a fast food chain restaurant! And it was forced to be recognized by the National Labor Review Board! And it is technically a chapter of the IWW!

Sure it is small right now, but we should be giving absolute props to the Burgerville Workers Union in Oregon. They proved that service industry workers that are treated like shit can organize, can win, and can bring their abusive employer to their knees. Thank you BWU for making labor history!

If you work in fast food, you can absolutely organize and demand better treatment! It sucks at first, it’s intimidating, but you won’t be the first one to do it now. The trail has been blazed for you! Remember: your boss needs you, but you don’t need your boss!

The IWW actually has a ton of great resources for organizing in fast food restaurants! If you might be interested, join their union and contact some of their organizing experts!
