How were Rose and Kanaya different in the retcon timeline? I agree about the other characters, but I did not notice any particular difference in their characterization.

remember how rose had really complex feelings about her mom she was struggling with, and turned to drink to try and handle, and it was a small source of tension between her and kanaya? well vriska slapped a glass off her hand so now it’s all hunky dory. smooth sailing. she had nothing to struggle with, so much so that it became her struggle in itself.

i’m so upset. these kids were even less mature than they were in GO. they were just well-coached for this big great farce. i can’t accept this is supposed to be a good thing
