Stimming by creating pressure on a body part(s). Some examples:
- sitting on your legs, feet or hands
- lying on your hands or arms
- jamming your hands or fists in your pockets
- wrapping up tightly in blankets
- wedging into small spaces
- having someone lie on you or put a lot of pressure on a body part
- wearing tight/constricting clothing
- piling heavy things, like couch cushions, on top of your body
- adopting a posture that creates pressure on a certain part of your body (like a Yoga shoulder stand)
I did not know these were considered stims and now I have a lot of new additional information
FAVORITE STIMS are pressure stims. This is also why I like to be the substrate in snuggle-piles. I tend to wedge myself down the back of couch cushions and stick my feet under people and sit on my hands. Dog-in-lap achieves similar and highly desired effect.
