how to be left alone

stonelionhearts:

walk like your shoulders are wide as the spread jaws of something old and hungry

walk like you are a tower of stone, a lighthouse with eyes fixed to the cold, empty distance. you are watching the ocean for a thousand miles.

walk like you know how to break a man’s arm. it is not a threat. you will do it.

walk with rage curled quiet in the pit of you, under your lungs. it waits with the patience of dust. it does not sleep.

walk like you will use your teeth, like your teeth are 42 and meant for shearing

walk like you are something old and hungry, patient and not asleep. waiting, waiting for the fine brush of a limb that mistakes you for softness

walk like you are death, you are death, you are death
