my favorite #YesAllWomen tweets are the ones where people finally get what feminism is all about, because it shows its actually doing something, as opposed to on tumblr where we’re all shouting about it to people who already agree with us

this is bullshit. before tumblr i was bigoted and sexist without even realizing it. its only now that ive learned and can look back that i see it.
tumblr DOES elicit change. tumblr activism DOES make a difference. Im not saying that its perfect, because its certainly not, but ive learned so much from being on this site and grown so much as a person.
its alright to criticize tumblr for its flaws and in fact we definitely SHOULD speak out about the issues with the community but i find it insulting and belittling when people completely ignore the good its done as well.
