when people ask me what my *~real~* name is

once i met this girl who had apparently gone to my highschool but didnt know me (she wasnt in my grade) and when she tried to figure out if she had heard of me KEPT. ON. ASKING. for my “real name”

even though i had already TOLD her everyone knew me as Niji.

dude. even my teachers called me Niji. i wrote Niji on all my papers. MOST OF MY GRADE DIDNT EVEN KNOW NIJI WASNT MY BIRTHNAME. 

Niji is my real name. Its just not on my birth certificate. My name has a lot of emotional importance to me and is a significant part of my identity and i DO NOT want to be referred to as Kaitlyn!

im ok with people who knew me before i made the change calling me that but if not then i DONT WANT TO BE CALLED THAT PLEASE STOP ASKING ME ABOUT MY BIRTH NAME.
