I feel this may depend on the size of the boobs. As someone who does not have an ample bosom, I find it very easy do up in the front and swivel it around. Perhaps those better endowed find it easier to get the boobs in place and then do it up.

I swivel. I suppose I could manage to do it up behind my back if I really set my mind to it, but I just don’t have that kind of dedication.
I swivel, and attributing it to cup size might be a bit of a catch-22 – generally speaking, as cup size increases, so do the number of hooks in the back. I’m a D, and most of my more comfortable bras have rows of four hook-and-eye fasteners.
im a 32 C (which is a very annoying size to shop for because many stores do not carry that size) and i put my arms through the straps first and then i clasp it behind my back. i only really need to make mild adjustments to get it in the proper place.
