Let’s have a little chat about Eridan’s murdering ways, folks. In [S] Kanaya: return to the core. Eridan appeared and subsequently killed Feferi and Kanaya, and wounded Sollux.

Most folks view this as Eridan being an evil dickbag, but I see it differently.
Eridan came to tell Feferi that he was leaving to join Jack and to have her join him. During that altercation, Sollux initiated combat with Eridan. Eridan was not seeking to fight. After winning the battle, Feferi attacked Eridan, her death was in self-defense.

However, after that, Eridan destroyed the matriorb, which was the first case of him aggression. But he only killed Kanaya, after she charged him.

While I don’t condone his actions, I want to make it clear that Eridan did not suddenly decide that he wanted to kill his friends, and only did so when he was attacked first.
