So I just made this tank top. It took maybe an hour tops? Including the time it took to cut the fabric?
It’s pretty sloppy, the bottom seam is a mess, but this was my first time working with stretchy fabric and I wanted to try something simple to get some experience with it.
What I learned: stretchy fabric will bunch up a lot more under the foot of the sewing machine if you let it. You have to pull it taunt a little bit so that the fabric runs smoothly under the foot when it’s being threaded
